We are seeking a highly commercial Senior Commercial Data Analyst to help accelerate the organisation\u2019s data and insight capability.<\/p>

This is not a traditional reporting role \u2013 the successful individual will be expected to actively challenge assumptions, agitate questions within the business, and help shape a culture where decisions are consistently informed by trusted data and analytical insight.<\/p>

The role requires an individual who can comfortably frame complex business problems into structured analytical approaches combining strong commercial judgement, advanced analytical techniques, and stakeholder influence to ensure data-driven insights translate into tangible business outcomes.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Key responsibilities<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across finance, commercial, and operations to solve high-value business problems.<\/li>
  • Deliver deep-dive analysis across performance, customer behaviour, profitability and risk<\/li>
  • Translate complex data into clear, compelling recommendations that influence decisions<\/li>
  • Develop scenario models, forecasts, and segmentation analyses<\/li>
  • Support the design of Power BI dashboards and enterprise semantic models<\/li>
  • Apply advanced analytics (SQL, Python\/R) to uncover insights and opportunities<\/li>
  • Drive improvements in data literacy, governance, and reporting standards<\/li>
  • Move the business from reactive reporting to proactive, insight-led decision making<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Essential skills<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
    \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
    • Extensive experience in commercial analytics, advanced analytics, business intelligence, FP&A analytics, data science, or insight roles.<\/li>
    • Expert SQL capability with experience interrogating large and complex datasets<\/li>
    • Strong proficiency in Python, R, or equivalent analytical programming languages for advanced analytics, automation, and data manipulation<\/li>
    • Experience framing ambiguous business questions and translating them into structured analytical approaches<\/li>
    • Strong statistical and analytical thinking with experience applying quantitative techniques to support commercial and operational decision-making<\/li>
    • Proven ability to identify patterns, drivers, anomalies, and behavioural trends within complex datasets<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      Highly desirable<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      • Experience in financial services, SaaS, or consumer finance<\/li>
      • Knowledge of predictive modelling, forecasting, or optimisation<\/li>
      • Exposure to modern data platforms (e.g. cloud, Microsoft Fabric)<\/li>
      • Experience embedding AI into analytics workflows<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
